Criccieth Holiday Club is an all age mission with accommodation provided for team in North Wales.

The Good News of Jesus Christ has been shared by Criccieth Holiday Club for over a century.

There is a focus on allowing the Bible to speak to children, young people and adults through fun filled age-appropriate activities and family events. In the mornings groups will encounter God’s Word in relevant ways including drama, storytelling, singing, craft and Bible study.

In the afternoon, activities include games on the beach, tide fights, challenges, and afternoon teas for the adults, with a Bible bite to round things off. During the fortnight we run Beach Specials and evening family events such as a family craft night, film nights, open mike night and treasure hunts.

The team includes a mix of students, young adults, and experienced team members, many having come as children themselves. Many members of our team return year after year.

The mission works closely with the local churches to see holiday makers and locals experience Jesus for themselves.

Team are accommodated in the Neptune, a self-catering property owned by Criccieth Holiday Club Evangelism Trust.

Mary & Dave Butt

We have led the Holiday Club for the last ten years. Mary first came on the team when she was 16, and although Dave reckons that she looks like that was only 5 years ago, it’s been a long association for both of us with the Holiday Club and the town. Mary works for Manchester City Mission heading up the Groundbreakers project, taking school assemblies, lunch clubs, workshops and also all age services in churches. After twenty years as deputy head of a C of E high school in the centre of Manchester, and a short spell with Manchester City Mission, Dave is now working for Glenbrook Christian Fellowship in North Manchester and does some volunteering. We are both involved in the leadership of our church in North Manchester where Mary leads worship and Dave is an elder and gets to preach regularly. We love to support other churches across Manchester taking all-age services and preaching. The Holiday Club team is like a family, it helps that our own grown-up children, and our daughter-in-law, have been on team, but year after year team come back and are joined by new folk all eager to serve Jesus together.
